I dropped my camera when I took it out to take a photo of the amount of dinner I left tonight because I was full and now it won't work :'(
It's only a couple of months old as well so I'm more than a little annoyed at myself!

I can't put today's photos on now so here's my dairy without photos and hopefully I'll be able to get it fixed and add them at a later date.
I'll have to use my phone tomorrow and it's not a very good camera so I apologise in advance for the rubbish quality!

Weigh In Wednesday - Had a Great Week!

I'm so happy with my loss today because I'm now out of the 400lb bracket and into the 300's :D

I lost 3lb this week and whilst I was very happy with the loss, it wasn't until I was filling in my weight loss chart and wrote 397 pounds did I realise what a huge milestone this is for me.
I really wasn't happy being over 400lb and I know it's only 3lb away, it's a huge deal mentally. It's given me a boost and I really can't wait to lose 4lb for my 3 stone award and then another 2lb for my club 10 award :D

I really am committed to getting to target this time and keeping it off for good. It's been 14 weeks since I joined and I've lost every week. I'm never hungry, I never feel deprived of anything, I have everything I want and instead of eating everything in sight because I could, I now eat what's important to me; for example, I was doing the shopping list for Christmas dinner and automatically put cranberry sauce on the list. I checked the syn value and decided there were lots of other lovely things I'd rather spend my syns on than cranberry sauce on Christmas day! Before, I would have eaten it because it was tradition and I wouldn't have given the chocolate, alcohol, nuts, crisps and everything else we have at Christmas, a second thought, I would have eaten the lot.
Now I know that what's important to me on Christmas day is a few glasses of Baileys and some chocolate. If I can spend my syns on those and stay on track I'll enjoy Christmas and enjoy the loss I plan on having at the next weigh in!

This is the quote I got when I put my results in the Slimming World website and I totally agree with it being a journey, not a destination and I know that with the help of SW and the people in my weekly group, I can enjoy the journey :o)

Curry Cake - Syn free

A few weeks ago we had a taster session at our Slimming World group and someone brought in a curry cake. I was a bit dubious because the words, curry and cake don't usually go together in my life!
I braved it though (I'm not very adventurous when it comes to trying new food!) and found it to be delicious.

A couple of weeks later I won the raffle and won the ingredients to make the curry cake and seeing as it's so delicious and oh so free of syns, I thought I'd share it with you :)
I was meant to make this ages ago when I got the ingredients but I've only just got round to it!



All you need are three ingredients:

1 packet Bachelor's curry rice (dried)
1 tin ASDA Chickpea Dahl (as far as I know, it has to be the ASDA tin because other versions are not guaranteed to be syn free)
4 eggs

Cook the rice per packet directions. Whisk the eggs then mix the rice, eggs and tin of chickpea dahl together.
Spray loaf tin with frylight then pour mixture in and bake at gas 6 for 40 minutes although there are lots of versions of this recipe on the Internet and the cooking times and oven temps vary greatly. I suggest you keep checking your loaf; stick a knife or something in the middle to see if it comes out clean.

Weigh in - 2 and a half stone award :D

As you can see from the title, I got my 2 and a half stone award today and whilst I was a little disappointed that I've only lost half a pound this week, I'm extremely happy to get my award so that made up for it!

I'm not sure why I've only lost a half but I do know that I've been snacking on chicken roll without realising it had a syn value; I'm going to be sticking to chicken breast snacks from now on so I know that it's free!
I've also had a cup of speed soup everyday for the last week and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the low loss this week as apart from the chicken, it's the only other thing that I can think of that's changed.

Anyway, onwards and downwards!

I was hoping to get out of the 400lb range this week but it looks like that's next week's target!
I'm off now to do some Just Dance. Haven't done it for a few weeks and surprisingly, I'm raring to go :)
